Zululand Cat Conservation Project
269-122 NPO
Welcome to Zululand Cat Conservation Project, where our main emphasis is on releasing the progeny of animals back into the wild.
We keep our breeding pairs (ambassador animals) and those that cannot be released, for educational purposes at the project.
All offspring, where possible, will be released back into the wild.
Join our mission to preserve and protect wildlife by supporting our efforts to reintroduce these animals to their natural habitats.

The Zululand Cat Conservation Project has been in operation since 1994,
since then we have successfully rehabilitated and released Servals, Caracals, African Wildcats and Cheetahs.
We are delighted to release the two Servals at iSimangaliso Wetland Park and to play our part in ensuring the conservation of this rare and beautiful species. This neighboring Wetland Park, iSimangaliso, provides them with a secure home away from inhabited areas and the threat of snaring.
Servals are listed on the ‘Threatened or Protected Species’ (TOPS) list owing to their rarity. They are vulnerable to being snared and killed by farmers, in particular for their beautiful pelts.
Released to Date

All these releases were conducted in conjunction with KZN Wildlife.
Releases are recorded as per our SOP’s and Protocols.
