Select a Caracal below:
This male is very relaxed and doesn’t mind people being around him, but can get a bit too excited and run between the people, trying to make them nervous. He is a playful cat and loves to spend time chasing his hockey-ball around in circles. Bar-One recently lost his jumping title to Diego, so he has become a bit lazier as a result. Maybe it is also the age...?
This female is quite shy compared to her companion, Bar-One. She tries to avoid people by retreating to her igloo or into the trees. She is much smaller than the males, but still takes no nonsense from them and can be seen giving him lectures, especially during feeding time. Lulu has produced several off spring during her time with us, mainly all of them released back into the wild and now living free. Lulu is an excellent mother but due to her age, the oldest Caracal in the project, we do rather want to enjoy her retirement.
This young female enjoys to be isolated and keeps away from the public eye. She loves to hide in the thick bushes or in the trees during the day, surprising us only during feeding time with a quick 'hello'. She is tough little princess who shows exactly what she wants in life!
This beautiful female has a deep red coat, with the richest red colour. Although Ruby tries to avoid people as much as possible, she is never aggressive and always maintains the air of a real lady.
This male is a real little wild child and spends most of his time either in the trees or hissing at anyone in the vicinity of his enclosure. Carlos constantly shows who is the boss and loves this title.
This young male really lives up to his name sake (American movie, Diego being associated with a bad character and a bad attitude). After meal time, his favourite thing would have to be hissing at anyone within ear-shot of his enclosure. He looks slightly different than the other caracal on the project, with his coat being a much lighter shade of red. Diego is currently the most impressive jumper on the project, having stolen the record from Bar-One. Diego also loves chasing a hockey-ball around when his favourite human, Zee, who is the only one brave enough to go into his enclosure.
Max is the oldest caracal on the project but he still has the attitude of a teenager. He is one of the better breeding males and has successfully produced a number of offspring. This old boy holds the title of the second highest jumper and he likes to show off this talent at feeding time. Max is a gentle soul with good mannerism, always shows the same personality, calm and contented.
