In prehistoric times, about 130,000 years ago to about 30,000 years ago,
early man in Zululand lived in caves high up in the Lebombo Mountains. Their diet was
varied because they exploited the resources of the sea, as well as hunted animals on the
land.
However, today we can offer our guest in Zululand far more comfortable accommodation
in Hluhluwe than the old caves. Instead of exploiting our resources, they can relax
and enjoy the true South African country cuisine while viewing all our resources.
Emdoneni Lodge is situated on a small game farm, with sand forest vegetation. Walk with
the wildlife including Zebra, Impala, Nyala, Red & Grey Duiker and other antelope.
Birdlife is abundant.
Less than two and a half hours from Durban, the lodge is central to Zululand's outdoor
attractions and a multitude of excursions can be arranged. |
